Getting Started with Giveaway App

BVN (Bank Verification Number) is a unique identity for each individual across the Nigerian Banking industry. Instagram is a popular social media platform for younger generation. Following are the steps to add your BVN and link your Instagram account respectively:

Verify BVN

1. Launch Giveaway App
2. Tap "Profile" on the main dashboard
3. Press “Verify” against BVN Verification
4. Enter your mobile number and press “Continue”
5. Enter the OTP received on your mobile number to proceed
6. To verify your BVN, enter your BVN, Account Number, and Bank Name. Click "Continue" to finish

Verify BVN

1. Open Giveaway App
2. Tap "Profile" on the main dashboard
3. Press “Link” against Instagram Verification
4. Enter Instagram Username and click "Link your Instagram" to connect your Instagram account with Giveaway App
5. Press “Confirm” to complete the process. For full functionality "Use Instagram avatar" and "Auto update avatar" must be checked

What is "My QR Code"?

Giveaway QR codes make it easier to send, pay, and request payments without sharing your personal info on Giveaway! You can pay someone by just opening your camera and centering it on the QR code or just opening the scanner in the Giveaway app and centering the camera over the “Giveaway” QR code you want to scan. No need to tap! After you scan a friend’s code, you’ll be taken directly to their profile page. You can also share your QR code with a friend through email, text messages, and more.
